Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew

Author:Priests and Servants of St. Mark Church in HeliopolisPublisher:Priests and Servants of St. Mark Church in HeliopolisPublish Year:2015Pages:290Categories:Biblical CommentaryDescription:The Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew, prepared by the Priests and Servants of St. Mark Church in Heliopolis, offers an analytical study proving Jesus as the awaited Messiah. It covers Christ's genealogy, birth, the Holy Family's flight, John the Baptist's preaching, Christ's baptism, His temptation, and the calling of disciples. The text details the Sermon on the Mount—covering the Beatitudes, fulfilling the law, spiritual practices, and non-judgment—alongside Christ's healing miracles and exorcisms. Ultimately, it concludes that genuine repentance and practical obedience to the commandments establish spiritual life upon the rock.
