The author opens by noting how the current of atheism swept away those who considered religion a foreign phenomenon and a heavy burden on human nature, proving with an objective methodology the fallacy of materialistic and existential thought. The text connects through discussing religion as an essential element in human life, between faith and reason, the materialistic interpretation of existence, the empirical method, the idealistic interpretation versus the empirical method, the atheist and the interpretation of speech in primitive man, what they said about atheism, atheism in the nineteenth century, God in the thought of Feuerbach and Marx, God in the thought of Nietzsche, God in the thought of August Comte, existentialism, the fourth letter talking about the existence of God, proving the existence of God, the ontological argument, the cosmological argument the evidence for a first cause, the teleological argument the evidence of order, and the moral argument, concluding that God's works are mysteries far greater than the little we know and He granted his godly ones wisdom.
