The publisher's introduction presents this work as the teaching of the Pillar of Faith, written before the Nestorian controversy, where the text explores the Father as the beginning and cause of hypostatic existence and the mutual indwelling of the Persons. Through Discourse One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, Seventeen, Eighteen, Nineteen, Twenty, Twenty-One, Twenty-Two, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Four, Twenty-Five, Twenty-Six, Twenty-Seven, Twenty-Eight, Twenty-Nine, Thirty, Thirty-One, Thirty-Two, Thirty-Three, Thirty-Four, and Thirty-Five, Cyril proves the eternity of the Son and the divinity of the Holy Spirit. The conclusion includes indices of terms and scriptures, establishing this masterpiece as a bulwark against Arianism to grant believers understanding for glorifying the Trinity now and forever.
